Miguel Rodarte will be in a special performance of Macho

Culiacán, Sinaloa.- The Sinaloa Institute of Culture announced the next celebration of the Mexican Film Week in your city, which will take place from December 5 to 10 and is an initiative of the Ministry of Culture, through the Mexican Institute of Cinematography and the General Directorate of Cultural Links, with an itinerant event that brings together national fiction, animation and documentary feature films and short films.

The program was announced at a press conference chaired by Jorge Mario Escalante Anaya, ISIC Director of Programming, and Minerva Solano, Head of the ISIC Visual Arts Department.
Escalante Anaya said that the Mexican Film Week in your city, is created in order to strengthen audiences and create new audiences for national films, the sample will be held at the facilities of the Genaro Estrada Cultural Center (Sala Lumiére and Ágora Rosario Castellanos )
Here, the citizen will be able to discover and enjoy the national productions in the search for a consolidation of our national cinematography, through new spaces for the exhibition, the training of audiences and new talents.

For her part, Minerva Solano announced the program that integrates this cycle with the following films: The inaugural function is on Monday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m., with the screening of the film Male, directed by Antonio Serrano, 2016, with the participation of the actor from Culiacan, Miguel Rodarte, with whom he begins a retrospective that also includes the films St. Julia’s tiger (directed by Alejandro Gamboa, 2002), Tuesday 6 Y bullet bitten (directed by Diego Muñoz, 2009, both at 6:30 p.m.

Film Week continues with the following programming: Wednesday the 7th; Japan (Carlos Reygadas, 2002), on Thursday the 8th; wind apart (Alejandro Gerber, 2014) on Friday the 9th, The black history of Mexican cinema at 4:00 p.m., and wind apart; all at 6:30 p.m.

And close with The legend of Chupacabras (Alberto “Chino” Rodríguez, 2016), in an outdoor children’s show on Saturday the 10th, in the ISIC agora, all at 6:30 p.m.

They are also projected in the Sala Lumiére, at 4:00 p.m.: On Tuesday 6, an IMCINE Short Film Program; Wednesday the 7th walls (directed by Gregorio Rocha, 2014); Thursday 8, you will know what to do with me (by Katina Medina, 2015); Friday the 9th The black history of Mexican cinema (Andrés García Franco, 2016), and on Saturday the 10th, El remolino (Laura Herrero Garvin, 2016).
