Visiting Culiacán to participate in the presentation of La Casa del Maquío, the Sinaloan actor Miguel Rodarte said that Sinaloa is a very strong state, with a lot of potential, a place where its people are ‘fighters’, without fear of work and to progress.

“I am happy to be in my land, and more so for this event, because I have been close to the Clouthier family for a lifetime, because of my parents and grandparents, I grew up with those who touched me from the generation, knowing the figure of Don Maquío , whom I remember as a man with a big heart and generosity”, highlighted the actor.

The self-appointed ambassador of La Casa del Maquío, expressed that he was very interested in participating in this event, mainly because of the principles on which the organization is founded and will be in charge of promoting them.

He recalled that Manuel Clouthier del Rincón always sought a change through peace, a philosophy that is still valid 30 years after his death, and that today he is honored with a project, turning his house into a space to train leaders, and to promote the culture of peace not only in Sinaloa, but in Mexico.

“Peace is something that is sorely lacking in our country, we have this misfortune of living in a culture of fear, fostered by the authorities walking the streets dressed as robocops, who can threaten us at any time, fostering a culture of fear,” he said.

The protagonist of films such as El tigre de Santa Julia (2002) and Saving the soldier Pérez (2011), shared that one way to transform that culture from fear to peace is through connecting with forgiveness, and beginning to foster consideration of the neighbor

“For violence to stop reigning, that would be one of the best ways to change the image of a violent place, it is the main thing, only then can a culture of peace begin to be established, and that is why we are here, to invite the reflection, to reverse what is happening,” he stressed.
