TRECE brings you, this weekend and as always, a sample of the best cinema of all time.
The session begins on Friday night with “no one can beat me”. The string casts in ‘CLASSICS‘ (Friday at 10:00 p.m.), the program run by Jose Luis Garciathis wonderful movie Robert Wise. Robert Ryan stars in this film, considered one of the best of film noir. A boxer in decline, to prove that he is not finished yet, decides to continue fighting. He does it against his wife and his own agent, going as far as betting money against him. Stoker Thompson, which is the name of the protagonist, will fight with all his might to recover his pride. Applauded by critics at the Cannes Film Festival and at the BAFTA Awards, it is considered one of the most brilliant films ever made about the world of boxing. Shot at night and emphasizing the close-ups, it highlighted the great work that was done in the photography of the film.
Saturday, March 19TRECE will make you enjoy after dinner with the broadcast of two of the most hilarious saga of the 80s: “Mad Police Academy 3. Back to School” (3pm) and “Crazy Police Academy 4. Citizens Fight Back” (4:30 p.m.). In “Crazy Police Academy 3: Back to School”, the group of officers return to the academy as instructors to train new recruits, which leads to all kinds of hilarious situations. The following year everyone would repeat in “Loca Police Academy 4: Citizens defend themselves.” In it, a group of volunteer citizens are trained by the extravagant agents of the New York academy to bring order to their neighborhoods after which all kinds of crazy things will happen.
The afternoon of TRECE continues with “the outlaw” (6pm), with Clint Eastwood as protagonist. Nominated for an Oscar for its soundtrack, it tells the story of Josey Wales, a former Confederate soldier who is now dedicated to tending his farm. One day members of the guerrilla arrive and kill his family. Wales will decide to take revenge.
On Saturday and Sunday nights, the chain broadcasts “terminator” (00h) and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” (00h), directed by james cameron and starring arnold schwarzenegger. The first travels to 2029. Machines rule the world. The rebels who fight against them are led by John Connor. To put an end to the rebellion, the machines decide to send a robot, the Terminator, back in time to kill Sarah Connor, John’s mother. The second, awarded with 4 Oscar Awards, focuses on the story of Sarah.
LONG LIVE SPANISH CINEMA!
This weekend in March, TRECE pays homage to two great Spanish songwriters in the cycle LONG LIVE SPANISH CINEMA!
The afternoon begins with the broadcast of “Life goes on” (3 p.m.), with Julio Iglesias. A Real Madrid goalkeeper sees his opportunity when his teammate suffers an injury and he is called up to replace him. But misfortune will hit him when he has an untimely car accident. Tired of so much bad luck, he retires to a hotel on the coast, where chance will bring him up on stage.
The Spanish film cycle continues with “Whatever they say” (4:30 p.m.), which featured Raphael as the protagonist. Rafael, a famous singer in Spain arrives in Argentina, where his brother Miguel has lived for some years. As soon as he arrives, he meets Blanca, a woman who apparently lives with Miguel. As the days go by, Rafael discovers that not everything that surrounds his brother’s life is entirely true.
