Asgardian gods in the world of PAPER HEROES. The first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder (Thor: Love and Thunder, 2022) revealed the return of Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor/Jane Foster, who wields the enchanted hammer Mjölnir (see subbed and dubbed versions below, plus the music video for Sweet Child o’ Mine by the band Guns N’ Roses).

Writing the message “And you thought you were the one and only… #chrishemsworth”, the actress shared on Instagram an alternative promotional poster with the phrase “There is no one and only”, where he replaces Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, bearer of the Stormbreaker hammer.

The poster in Spanish was published by the official account of Marvel Latin America. The sequel to Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (Thor: A Dark World, 2013) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017) will be released on July 8, 2022 (United States).

Created by writers Stan Lee (1922-2018) and Larry Lieber, and artist Jack Kirby (1917-1994), Jane debuted in Journey into Mystery #84 (September 1962), transforming into Thor in the pages of Thor #1. (October 2014). She took on the Valkyrie identity in War of the Realms Omega #1 (July 2019).

Portman has appeared as Dr. Foster in the films Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (Thor: A Dark World, 2013), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and lent her voice in the animated series What If… ? (2021-Present).

Set in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), co-written and directed by Taika Waititi, co-stars Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin Obfonteri, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket Raccoon, Taika Waititi as the voice of Korg and Russell Crowe as Zeus.

Synopsis: The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he has ever faced: a search for inner peace. But his retreat is interrupted by a galactic assassin known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who, to Thor’s surprise, inexplicably wields her magical hammer, Mjölnir, like Mighty Thor. Together, they embark on a harrowing cosmic adventure to unravel the mystery of the Butcher God’s revenge and stop him before it’s too late.
