We are a few days away from Venom: Let There Be Carnage hit theaters, and although we had already had the opportunity to read some reactions on social networks from ordinary viewers, now come the first reactions from critics, those whom many prefer to trust when reading or hearing their opinions. There is good news, it seems that the film is as entertaining and action-packed as Venom (35%)but the bad news is that those who haven’t been fans of this one probably won’t be fans of the sequel either.

venom was released in 2018 as the start of a new cinematic universe dedicated to Spider-Man’s villains/anti-heroes, rights to which are held by Sony Pictures. The protagonist, Tom Hardy, was praised by some critics, while others said it was the worst performance of his career; the truth is that, even with the low rating it received from critics, the film was a box office success, with US$ 856 million collected worldwide.
In the current pandemic scenario, it is unlikely that Venom: Let There Be Carnage achieve a similar collection, but we do not doubt that it will be a success, since the public seems to be eager to return to the cinemas to enjoy superhero shows, as evidenced by the recent box office success of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (95%)from Marvel Studios.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is directed by Andy Serkisbest known for his acting roles in the sagas of The Lord of the rings, Planet of the Apes Y Star Wars; In his career as a director he has two feature films: A Reason to Live (67%) Y Mowgli: Tales from the Jungle Book (48%). In Venom: Let There Be Carnage we have Woody Harrelson in the role of the villain, as shown in the Venom post-credits scene. You can read the first reactions from critics below:
When it comes to Venom: Let There Be Carnage, it’s simple. Did you like the first one? You will like this one. Didn’t you like the first one? This is how you will feel here. It’s the biggest, fastest version of the first movie I enjoyed and instantly forgot about. Fun. frivolous
VENOM LET THERE BE CARNAGE: OMG these movies are SO stupid and I can’t help but enjoy them so much. I could watch 10 more Eddie and Venom movies calling each other losers. There’s a scene where Eddie and Venom are lying on the beach together and watching the sunset.
VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE further embraces the absurd buddy romance of the first film. Andy Serkis keeps the action and humor moving quickly, even if he doesn’t always land. Tom Hardy’s over-the-top performance remains a highlight, while Woody Harrelson relishes every sadistic moment.
Tom Hardy is fantastic in #Venom2, a film that gleefully and madly leans into his dark and hilarious tone and then some. There are definitely Natural Killer vibes from our villains, but ultimately it’s Hardy who steals every scene with a unique performance that is SO fun to watch.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a wild movie of the highest order. Ultraviolent rom-com that’s deliciously self-aware and weird. Tom Hardy gives 200%. Whatever you do, don’t miss the post-credits scene. #VenomLetThereBeCarnage
#VenomLetThereBeCarnage has some really entertaining and lovely moments, particularly between Eddie and #Venom, which is still a super fun dynamic, but the movie gets a little lost in the #Carnage of it all. There are too many ideas and the movie just goes through the mess to the end.
